Stowe Painting Co. was created in the summer of 2018 and we have had the oppuruntunity to work on several houses since then. This is a summer business for us. Our business is composed of students from Stowe who are some of my closest friends. Painting in the summers has become a passion of all of ours. While learning the painting process and business structure we have been able to grow together and hone our skills for the craft. Every house presents us with a new learning opportunity to improve as businessmen and workers which is why we love this job. The gratitude we share for this company is what keeps us working consistent hours for each job which start at 8am and end at 4pm. We work long days because our time is not guaranteed especially in Vermont with all of its weather constraints. We like to stay ahead of the timeline as much as possible for the convenience of us and the homeowners. Our business is completely self sufficient, fully insured, and over the years we have bought all of the necessary equipment.
The income received from the painting jobs allows us to pay for a major portion of our education expenses. We are thankful for all the jobs and are always willing to look at every potential job.

Meet the Team.
Max Carr
My name is Max Carr, I am from the small town next to Stowe, Elmore, Vermont where I have lived my entire life. I have been painting houses for over four years now and starting our Stowe Painting Company with my close friends has been a tremendous experience thus far. I embrace the opportunity we have to work for the community we all grew up in while creating new connections with others.
In the fall, I will begin my Sophomore year at the University of Vermont’s Grossman School of Business. I am very appreciative that our company has given me the opportunity to learn first hand about the business world. Moving forward, we hope to be able to grow our company as we continue to work for the community that has given us all so much.
Kristian Viljanen
Over the past few summers, I have been extremely lucky to be a part of the Stowe Painting Company. My friends and I have been working extremely hard to provide members of the community with the painting they need. It has allowed us to gain the necessary experience and skills needed to accomplish any job you need and during the process, I have made lasting memories that I will always remember.
We have an amazing work environment that has allowed us to grow as a company as well as a group. It has also helped me financially as I pursue my career in the nursing field in hopes to one day work in a hospital. I have been able to pay for my tuition so that I can hopefully come out of college with as little debt as possible. We are extremely personable and we would love to work for you!
Alex Carpenter
My names Alex Carpenter and I went to high school with Kristian and Max where I was fortunate enough to play hockey with both of them. Since my freshman year season with them we have built a strong friendship and an even better business! It’s such an amazing opportunity to be able to work alongside my best friends during the summers and we love to be involved in the community of Stowe.
Business has always been a passion of mine and I am forever grateful for the lessons that these past few years have given me. This business has been a source of income for me but the money made has been incomparable to the opportunity to learn. I am looking forward to pursuing further aspirations in business after I graduate from Skidmore college in 2025.
